New Delhi: As the third and final phase of assembly elections is underway in Bihar, Union minister Giriraj Singh on Saturday asserted the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) will once again form the government in the state.
Speaking to ETV Bharat, Singh said, "New dimensions of development work in several sectors are being written in Bihar and it is our responsibility to drive this development. As the leader of India is secured in the hands of PM Modi, it is important that we secure Bihar’s leadership with Nitish Kumar."
"Narendra Modi is the messiah of the poor and the poor of whole Bihar are supporters of him. The central government has provided gas to the homes of the poor of Bihar, provided electricity to every household, many poor are getting pension now in Bihar," he said.
Lashing out at RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, Singh said, "Tejashwi had insisted Abdul Bari Siddiqui to say that Modi is still a leader of Gujarat riots. People of Bihar are angry on Siddiqui's statement and this will be reflected on the final day of the election result."
"The most important aspect is that after the Narendra Modi government came to power at the centre, there has been plenty of emphasis on Bihar. There has been a lot of developmental work that has taken place after our government came to power at the Centre. The NDA is the best option for the people of Bihar. It is going to form a government in the state," he added.
Reportedly, the people of Bihar are voting on Saturday in the third and final phase of Legislative Assembly Election 2020. However, official results for the Bihar polls will be known only on November 10, Tuesday, when votes will be taken up for counting.
