Gaya: A woman along with three children died by suicide in Bihar's Gaya district. Police said the immediate cause of the suicide was not known. Police are probing the case from all angles. However, some villagers stated that domestic discord was stated to be the reason behind taking the extreme step. The tragic incident occurred in Magra police station area under Dumariya block of the district. A police team arrived at the crime spot to investigate the matter. Imamganj Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Manoj Ram visited the Panchand village to probe the incident.
According to information received from village sources, Santan Manjhi's daughter-in-law Malti Devi died by suicide, along with her three children. Domestic violence or discord was stated to be the reason behind committing suicide. However, police are tight-lipped about the incident. They (police) are not revealing much. On the other hand, grief-stricken family members of the deceased are in a state of shock. They were crying inconsolably for losing their near and dear ones.

Imamganj DSP Manoj Ram and the Station House Officer of Magra police station were on their way to the village. "A woman died by suicide, along with her three children in Panchand village under Magra police station area. We are reaching the spot. The deceased was identified as Malti Devi. Several things needed investigation. What led the deceased to take the extreme step? People are saying that domestic violence was the reason behind taking the extreme step. Things will be clear after the post-mortem examination," the DSP added.
