New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party's national spokesperson RP Singh has lashed out against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for imposing a ban on Chhath ghats. Drawing comparison with migrant exodus happened during the first wave of Covid-19 in Delhi, he said the Kejriwal government is forcing the migrant population to return to their homes. He told ETV Bharat that the government has opened markets and public transport, but banning Chhath ghats.
The BJP leader also attacked other political parties like Congress, Samajwadi Party, TMC of giving undue importance to the Lakhimpur Kheri incident. He asked the Congress that why it is not interfering in the issue of the Dalit youth who has been lynched in Rajasthan.
"Whether it is the Lakhimpur Kheri incident or the people of a particular community being killed in Kashmir, the opposition is accusing the government and the BJP," RP Singh said.
He alleged, "Congress is looking at the Lakhimpur Kheri case as its political ambition. The Uttar Pradesh government has given compensation to the victims and conducting a timely inquiry, but Priyanka Gandhi is going there for political purposes."

He added that there is nothing wrong in meeting with the victims, but wrong allegations should not be made on the government. He said that earlier Rahul Gandhi tried to increase the vote bank of Congress in Uttar Pradesh but he failed, now Congress is roping in Priyanka Gandhi but that would not be effective.
While talking about the killings of minorities in Kashmir, Singh said, "When was the last time incidents of stone-pelting were heard. when was the last time the ISI flag was flagged? Were there no murders in Kashmir in the 1990s? But yes, I agree that that during the last few days some 20 unfortunate events took place which took the life of 28 people amongst which 7 were minorities."
The BJP spokesperson added," Those who captured the lands of Kashmiri pandits are now facing problems because the pandits are returning back. The government is working to set up new colleges of IIT, IIM's and industries in Kashmir. Now Pakistan is trying to ruin the developments that are taking place."
