During that time, they had stayed for four days in Roshannagar locality of Kanpur. They were accompanied by two arms smugglers from Bihar, including a woman. The ADG said that four suspicious photos were found in the mobile phone of Aamir, who is involved in terrorist activities. These have been recovered. After this, the ATS took the help of the Local Intelligence Unit (LIU) and identified two youths in those photos. Both are residents of IIM Mor. Both of them have done their LL.B. The ATS did not find any suspicious documents from their mobile phones and laptops. Both also said that they have no contact with Aamir.
The investigations till now have not found any link between these two youths and Aamir. At the same time, they could not say anything about the other two youths in the photos. The ATS questioned the two youths in a very confidential manner. Even their neighbors could not know that the ATS team was there. It is also being apprehended that Aamir kept the photos and then deleted these to complicate the investigation of the ATS. This angle is also being probed.
UP ATS has come to know from Delhi Police Special Cell that all the suspects arrested used to have two mobiles. One number was used to make calls, while the other number was used for emails and video calls. However, the ATS has found only one mobile of Aamir. Nothing is known about his other mobile phone or where it is hidden An ATS official said that Aamir's family members those two youths will be questioned again to find out about this mobile phone.
