Rewa: The pilot of a trainer aircraft was killed after it crashed in Madhya Pradesh's Rewa district, officials said on Friday. A trainee pilot, who was on board, was injured in the incident that took place at around 11:30 pm on Thursday. His condition was said to be stable. The deceased has been identified as Chief Captain Vimal.
According to sources, the aircraft crashed three km away from Chorhatta airstrip after hitting the dome of a temple and a tree while on a training sortie. The crash probably happened as the aircraft, belonging to a private aviation training academy, tried to land in dense fog at night, officials said.
