1. Goa extends Covid curfew till June 28, UP govt relaxes night curfew

The Goa government on Saturday extended the Covid-19 curfew till June 28. Fish markets and stores in malls, barring some exceptions, will remain open in the next phase of the state-level curfew which begins from Monday for a period of seven days. "State-level curfew will be extended till 7 am, June 28, 2021.  

2. Amit Shah to visit Gujarat on Monday

Union Home Minister Amit Shah will visit his home state Gujarat on Monday to inaugurate a few development projects, besides taking part in some other functions. "Union Home Minister Amit Shah will be here on Monday. We are expecting that he would here on Tuesday morning as well, though it has not been confirmed yet," state BJP spokesperson Yamal Vyas said.

3. 13 injured in gas cylinder explosion in Delhi

At least 13 people were injured after a gas cylinder exploded at a house in outer Delhi's Mangolpuri area, fire officials said. A fire official said that the fire department received a call about the cylinder explosion following which three fire tenders were rushed to the spot.

4. PM praises LS Speaker for enhancing Parliament's productivity

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla on Saturday received laurels from Prime Minister Narendra Modi for enhancing the productivity of Parliament proceedings during his two years in office. In a series of tweets, the Prime Minister said: "Over the last two years, Shri @ombirlakota Ji has ushered in a series of steps that have enriched our Parliamentary democracy and enhanced productivity, leading to the passage of many historic as well as pro-people legislations. Congratulations to him!

5. Biden to host Israeli President Rivlin on June 28

"President Biden looks forward to welcoming Israeli President Reuven Rivlin to the White House on June 28, 2021. President Rivlin's visit will highlight the enduring partnership between the United States and Israel and the deep ties between our governments and our people. It will be an opportunity to consult about the many challenges and opportunities facing the region," White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said.
