The Union Cabinet has approved the Ministry of Defence's proposal for extension of the Central deputation tenure of Nazli Jafri Shayin, Joint Secretary, Department of Defence for a period up to December 29, 2021. The cabinet has also approved extension in Central Deputation tenure of Vivek Bharadwaj, Additional Secretary, Department of Home, Minister of Home Affairs for a period of one year up to October 23, 2021, until further orders.

Amritsar MP Gurjit Singh Aujla on November 24 urged the Minister of External Affairs S Jaishankar to take steps for the repatriation of women stranded in Oman. He said around 24 women were living in poor conditions as the Indian Embassy in Muscat failed to help them. He added that these women had gone to Oman as domestic help in search of livelihood and that he had written to the MEA in June and October, but he had not got any response.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has arrested a close aide of Shiv Sena MLA Pratap Sarnaik named Amit Chandole, in an alleged money laundering case related to private company Tops Security. Chandole, who is the promoter of Top Securities Group, was arrested after the ED conducted searches at around 10 places in Mumbai and Thane on November 24 including Top Securities Group promoters and some politicians.
