New Delhi: Amid uproar over Pegasus snooping row, Rajya Sabha was adjourned till Friday 11 am. Union Minister of IT Ashwini Vaishnaw made suo moto remark on the controversy. Raising eyebrows, some of the Trinamool Congress MPs allegedly took papers from Vaishnaw's hands and tore it up. The paper bits were allegedly thrown at Deputy Chairman Harivansh Narayan Singh.
Slamming the MPs' act, BJP MP Swapan Dasgupta termed it to be completely unseemly behaviour. "It seems that some people of Opposition, notably some of the TMC MPs, got up and took the paper from the hands of the Minister and tore it up. This is completely unseemly behaviour," he said.
Further, he said, "He was making a statement, you had a right to question him after that but instead of going in for a debate, is this the type of hooliganism we see inside the House? This is completely against all norms, I think it should be condemned out right."

Reportedly, there was a heated argument between Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri and TMC MP Shantanu Sen. TMC MP Sukhendu Sekhar Roy refrained from responding to media over query on snatching paper from IT Minister's hands.
IT Minister reiterated the statements he made in Lok Sabha over Pegasus snooping row. He said it is not a matter of coincidence that media report of snooping appeared a day before the commencement of the Monsoon session. It is an attempt to malign Indian democracy.
The third day of the Monsoon Session was stormy with Opposition's uproar. Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was disrupted by the Opposition while introducing newly appointed Cabinet members.
