Nizamabad (Telangana): A 30-year-old man reportedly died of cardiac arrest after he feared of being infected by Covid-19. The man had done two Covid tests—both negative—before he died. The incident took place in Nizamabad district in Telangana state on Sunday.
Ashok (30), a resident of Borgham village in Renjal zone, was suffering from a high fever for a few days. On suspicion that he may have contracted COVID-19, his mother Gangamani and brother took him to Renjal Primary Health Centre for a check-up.
The rapid test result showed he was COVID-negative.

As he did not show any signs of recovery, Ashok's family members insisted on getting another test. As he was waiting for his results under a tree near the hospital on Sunday, he breathed his last, probably in a fit of panic.
It is suspected that Ashok may have suffered a cardiac arrest. Ashok's brother carried his body back to his village on a tractor.
