New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader RK Sinha on Saturday, called for a high-level probe into the allegation against the state police and several MLAs for promoting illegal liquor trade in the state.
The statement came after the allegations by the family members of recent hooch tragedy victims in Bihar.
Earlier, 14 people had died after consuming spurious liquor in Bihar.

Sinha said that police is pressuring the kin of deceased people give false statements about their deaths. "Some people have alleged that the local police officers are forcibly getting the deceased families to write that their relatives have not died due to drinking spurious liquor. Rather, it is due to a heart attack," said Sinha.
