Bihar: Family members of dead nine-year-old try occult to bring him back to life

Abhishek had come from school and went to keep the school bag inside the house, where he was bitten by a snake. The family members wanted a local Tantrik to get the child cured through Tantra Kriya but the child did not recover. After this, he was brought to a hospital in Muzaffarpur in a private vehicle, where doctors declared him brought dead.

Vaishali: In a strange occurrence, family members of a nine-year-old in Bihar's Vaishali district on Thursday tried to take help of occult practices to bring the child back to life. The incident took place in the Biddupur Police Station area of the district, wherein Abhishek Kumar, a class three student who died following snakebite, was kept on a raft made of parts of a banana tree and sent off in the river.

It is learnt that vital details such as name of the boy, names of his father and grandfatrher, his residential address alongside mobile number, too, were provided in a chit placed inside the boat. Speaking about the incident, a local resident claimed that the child was alive and would return with the help of the address.

"Abhishek had come from school and went to keep the school bag inside the house, where he was bitten by a snake. The family members wanted a local Tantrik to get the child cured through Tantra Kriya but the child did not recover. After this, he was brought to a hospital in Muzaffarpur in a private vehicle, where doctors declared him brought dead." said Sarvan Pandit, the village resident.

"The boy was taken for treatment but he died. The process of cremation is an old practice. That's why we People have flown it by making a raft of banana trees. Through this process, it can be expected that it can come back alive. Although it cannot be said that it will come back or not," he added. Following the failed ritual, he was brought to a hospital in Muzaffarpur, where he was declared dead on arrival.
