Bharatpur: A family of a minor Dalit girl, who was allegedly gang-raped, has filed a complaint with the Pahari police station in Rajasthan's Bharatpur on Saturday. The family alleged that the victim was allegedly abducted and gang-raped by unidentified miscreants on March 31.
Bharatpur police have registered a case on unknown persons under POSCO Act, section 376 (gang-rape) of the Indian Penal Code), section 352 (assault) and other sections of Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe (Prevention of Atrocities) (SC/ST Act).
Pahari Superintendent Sunil Kumar Gupta said, "We have received a complaint against few people for abducting, assaulting and raping a Dalit minor. The miscreants fed the victim with a poisonous substance and then raped her. After the incident, she was dumped in a jungle and hoodlums fled away."

The girl told her parents about the abduction and rape. The family decided to register the complaint on April 3.
Kampa Deputy Superintendent of police Pradeep Yadav said, "Her medical examination has been done and we have started our investigation. The family did not apprise us of the incident before. We started the probe after the case was registered."
