Sirohi: Two bikers were killed instantly and charred to death as they came in contact with a snapped 11-KV high tension electricity cable in Rajasthan's Mount Abu on Wednesday. This resulted in the two-wheeler catching fire and both the bodies being charred beyond recognition.
On being informed about the incident by a passerby, the police and district administration reached the spot and extinguished the fire by shutting down the power line.

According to reports, a high tension power line had snapped at the CRPF Tirahe at around 4.30 am in the district. At that time, two bike riders who were passing through the spot came in contact with the power line which resulted in the unfortunate incident.
SDM Abhishek Surana and Mount Abu CO Praveen Kumar reached the accident site and inspected the area.
Later, the police ferried both the bodies to the mortuary. Among the bodies, one was identified as that of a resident from Devgarh, Rajsamand district. The relatives of the deceased will be called and the identification will be done. During the investigation, the negligence of the electricity department has come to the fore.
