Mumbai: NCB (Narcotics Control Bureau) DDG (operation) and SIT chief heading the probe into the Aryan Khan drug party case, Sanjay Singh, said on Wednesday that a conclusion that investigators had no evidence against Khan yet was 'highly premature'.
"Highly premature to say that there's no evidence against Aryan Khan. The probe is still in progress; recorded multiple statements. Have not reached any conclusion yet", Singh said. "These are not true, just speculation. Such statements were not cross-checked with NCB before being published. The probe is not completed yet, premature to say anything as of now", he further noted.
The statement by Singh comes after reports surfaced regarding NCB having no evidence against Khan in the issue. Earlier, when contacted to verify the authenticity of the information, officials from the central agency had refused to comment on the matter, only saying that there were some irregularities during the raid.

The Bombay High Court, in December 2021, had stated that Khan would not have to appear before NCB every week, but added that he would need to attend the SIT (Special Investigation Team)'s call for probe whenever necessary.
Aryan Khan, along with other accused Arbaaz Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha, was granted bail by the High Court on October 28 in the drugs-on-cruise case. An NCB team had busted an alleged drugs party on the Cordelia Cruise ship which was on its way to Goa at mid-sea on October 2 night.
Eight persons were detained for questioning by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in connection with the case. Eight people were later arrested on October 3 including, Aryan Khan, Arbaaz Merchant, and Munmun Dhamecha. Later, a total of 20 people were arrested in connection with the case.
