Chandigarh: One day after Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh slammed state Congress president Navjot Sidhu's two advisors for making statements sensitive to national issues like Kashmir and Pakistan, other leaders too joined in.

Meanwhile, Sidhu summoned both his advisors Malwinder Singh Mali and Dr Pyare Lal Garg to his Patiala residence to discuss their recent comments on Pakistan, Kashmir and the controversial sketch of late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi posted by one of them on social media

Controversial remarks on Jammu and Kashmir and Pakistan by Punjab Congress chief Navjot Singh Sidhu's advisors create political turmoil.

"Do such people even have the right to live in the country, forget about being in the Party?" asked Congress leader Manish Tewari.

Member of Parliament Tewari asked Punjab Congress in-charge Harish Rawat to seriously introspect whether those who do not consider Jammu and Kashmir to be a part of India and others who have ostensibly pro-Pakistan leanings should be a part of the party.

"It mocks all those who shed blood for India," Tiwari said.

"Who extended a hand of friendship towards Pakistan PM when the nation was against Pakistan? Who hugged the Pakistan Army Chief? Navjot Singh Sidhu. When he's like that, why complain about advisors?" Akali Dal's Daljit Singh Cheema said.

"It's objectionable. I advise Sidhu ji to keep distance from him politically, he must ask him to be in his limits and stop making comments on things he has no knowledge of," Congress's Sandeep Dikshit said reacting Sidhu's advisor posting a controversial sketch of late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi on social media.
