Mandsaur: A woman farmer from Madhya Pradesh district has written a letter to President Ram Nath Kovind and sought a loan to buy a helicopter and license to fly it. Basanti Bai Lohar made this unusual demand, not for her leisure purpose but to reach out to her own farmland. Lohar claimed that few musclemen from the village have blocked all the routes which goes to her farmland, prompting her to take this step.
"Despite making several rounds of the government offices to solve my problem, no one paid heed to it. After no fruitful results, I decided to write a letter to President Ram Nath Kovind requesting him to arrange a chopper for me," she told ETV Bharat.
Basanti Bai Lohar owns a small piece of land of around two bigha in the village which helps her to sustain her livelihood. But recently, village muscleman Parmanand Patidar and his son Lavkush, have blocked all the routes leading to the farm.
The woman stated that she is facing several problems and is unable to do cultivation following which she shot a letter to the executive head.
