New Delhi: Both Houses of the Parliament adjourned till 2 pm on Wednesday soon after it convened for the day. This was the third day of the second half of the Budget session of Parliament. Ruckus continued on day three as well over Rahul Gandhi's 'democracy in danger' remark in London.

Leader of the Opposition in Rajya Sabha and Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge said there is no question of apology from Rahul Gandhi. Earlier, leaders from 18 opposition parties held a meeting to chalk out their strategies ahead of the parliament proceedings. During the meeting, Opposition leaders discussed their strategy in Parliament to pressurize the Union government on the 'Adani' issue.

According to sources, a proposal to issue a letter of protest was signed by all opposition MPs was also discussed in the meeting. As discussed the Opposotion MPs of around 18 parties took out a protest march to the ED office to submit a complaint demanding a probe into the Adani Group issue, However, the march was cut short as police stopped it at Vijay Chawk citing the imposition of prohibitory orders under Section 144 in the area.

The Trinamool Congress MPs, however staged a separate protest in front of the Gandhi statue at the Parliament premises over LPG price hike. Speaking to ANI about the demand by BJP MPs asking Rahul Gandhi to apologise in the House, Kharge alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had once humiliated the people of the country by visiting five to six foreign nations saying that being born in India is a sin.

He also said that freedom of expression and speech is being undermined under the current government since those who are telling the truth are being arrested. This state of the country justifies Rahul Gandhi's 'end of democracy' remark, said Kharge adding that there is no question of an 'apology' because he has just put forth his views on Indian democracy in a debate in London.
