Mumbai: Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray's personal secretary Milind Narvekar has been threatened by an unknown person on WhatsApp, where he warned of action by the CBI, ED and NIA on failing to meet certain demands. On having received the message, Narvekar immediately lodged a complaint with the Mumbai Police Commissioner Hemant Nagrale. The matter is being probed by the Mumbai Crime Branch.
According to officials, it is being suspected that the WhatsApp number which was used to threaten Narvekar may have been a virtual number generated via an application.
Efforts are on by officials to trace the number with the help of the concerned mobile firm and zero down on the suspect, reports say.

Narvekar has been working as PS to Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray for the last several years and is considered a loyalist. He began his political journey as a group leader to being appointed as the Shiv Sena secretary.
Last year, Narvekar was also elected as the chairman of the governing council of the Mumbai Premier League and has played a crucial role in having taken political decisions for the Shiv Sena.
