Maharashtra: 8 engg students held for ragging, murdering their friend

Eight students pursuing their engineering in a private college have been held for allegedly ragging and murdering their friend in Nashik, Maharashtra. A murder case has been registered against them at the Satpur Police Station.

Nashik (Maharashtra): Eight students pursuing their engineering in a private college have been held for having allegedly ragged and murdered their friend in Nashik, Maharashtra. A murder case has been registered against them at the Satpur Police Station. The incident actually took place two years ago. The body of the the victim, a resident of Vitthalnagar, Akola district was found on March 15, 2019, and initially a case of accidental death was registered by the Satpur Police.

However, it was the victim's mother who insisted on a detailed investigation, which led the police to go into the root of the matter. In this regard, police arrested all the eight students and filed a murder case against them. In the course of investigation, it was revealed that the deceased always had disputes with the accused. Sub-Inspector Tulshiram Rathore has been investigating the case.
