Uttar Pradesh: History-sheeter Moti Singh, the main accused in the Kasganj Constable murder case, was gunned down by the Uttar Pradesh Police in an encounter on early Sunday morning.
Singh was taken to hospital for treatment where he succumbed to his injuries. The police had formed 12 teams to nab Singh, which was a big challenge for the cops.
At the same time, the pistol, which was robbed from the police station, has also been recovered.
Kasganj SP Manoj Kumar Sonkar said police laid a trap after information was received about his location.

Singh reportedly attacked the police team before the police opened fire.
Earlier, the Kasganj police gunned down one of Singh's cousins Elkar Singh in an encounter on February 10 and arrested Moti’s mother Siyarani, his other associates Nawab and Guudu.
Constable Devendra was beaten to death and a sub-inspector seriously injured when a police team went to Nagla Dheemar village to serve a warrant to Singh.
