DA case: Karnataka ACB sleuths raid nine govt officers

The raids were conducted at the residences and offices of the nine government officials in various districts of the state including Bangalore, Kolar, Mangalore and Bidar on Thursday.

Bengaluru (Karnataka): The officials of Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Thursday conducted raids at several locations across the state in connection with disproportionate asset cases registered against nine government servants. The officials conducted raids at the residences and offices of government officials in various districts of the state including Bengaluru, Kolar, Mangaluru and Bidar.

The officers whose houses were raided were G Shreedhar (EE District Urban development cell DC office Mangaluru), G. Sridhar, (Executive Director, Urban Development Division, District Collector's Office, Mangalore), Krishna.S-Hebsur ( EE Karnataka Rural Infrastructure Development - Udupi ) , RP Kulkarni (CE-KRIDCL, Karnataka Rural Infrastructure Development Limited - Bangalore) ,HR Krishnappa (Assistant Director-Malooru Urban Planning Authority, Kolar) ,Suresh Mohre (JE PRE Bidar ) ,Venkatesh T ( DCF Social Forest-Mandya), Siddarama Mallikarjun (AEE Hescom Vijayapura), A. Krishnamurthy (Senior Motor Vehicle Expectations-Koramangala, Bengaluru) and A N Vijay Kumar (Electrical Inspector-Bellary).

More than 100 sleuths were part of the raid that begin early morning and recovered huge amounts of cash and gold from the residences of the civil servants and their relatives.

ACB officials raided the house of G Sridhar, executive engineer of district city development unit. The sleuths who raided the residence and office of G Sridhar confiscated vital documents. Senior ACB officials have informed that intense inquiry of Sridhar is in progress. Similarly, ACB raided Asst director Mallur urban planning authority, Kolar H R Krishnappa's Malur office and also raided his house in Davanagere district. Intense inquiry of Krishnappa is in progress. Devanagari SP Jayprakash headed the team. His house in Shimoga was also raided. ACB officials also raided KPTCL AE Siddarama Biradar residence. Officials raided his house which is located in Sookun colony in Vijaypur and also raided his son in law's house.Biradar's Farm house and home in B .K. Loni also raided by a team lead by ACB DYSP Manjunath Gangal. A Krishnamurthy Senior Motor vehicle inspector, Koramangala Krishnamurthy's farmhouse which is located in Koratagere, Tumkuru was also raided by more than 10 officials. The officials also checked the documents of an under construction building on in his farmhouse.
