Srinagar: As People's Conference party seceded from People's Alliance for Gupkar Declaration, BJP leaders hit on it stating the end of the Alliance has begun. Responding to the People's Conference's announcement, the Bharatiya Janata Party claimed that "the real face of the alliance has come out in front of the people" while the National Conference said that it would not impact the real purpose of the alliance.
BJP spokesperson Manzoor Butt told ETV Bharat that the alliance was a drama and the sole goal of the alliance was to fool people. He further said that the alliance would not last long. Sajjad Lone, the spokesperson of the alliance has declared his separation from the alliance.
"Mehbooba Mufti would also bid farewell to the alliance in the next four days. The real face of the alliance has been revealed to the public," he added.
On the other hand, Hasnain Masoodi, Member of Parliament and Senior Leader of the National Conference, said that the separation of Sajjad Lone from the alliance would not affect the purpose of the alliance.
Apni Party in a statement termed the separation of People's Conference from Gupkar Alliance as a sign of the end of PAGD. "During the onset of the alliance, we had inferred that it was a union full of contradiction.PDP and National Conference are responsible for the current state of Jammu and Kashmir. In the coming days, more people would fall off from the alliance," said Apni party leader.
He even critiqued their promise of revoking Article 370 and 35 A by stating that the Supreme Court need to pronounce the verdict and their promise is baseless.
Speaking to ETV Bharat, senior BJP leader and former deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta said that PAGD is an alliance of opportunists which was meant to break.
