India records 25,166 fresh COVID-19 cases, 437 fatalities

A single-day rise of 25,166 COVID-19 cases and 437 fatalities pushes India's tally to 3,22,50,679, death toll to 4,32,079 as per the Union health ministry.

Hyderabad: A single-day rise of 25,166 COVID-19 cases and 437 fatalities pushes India's tally to 3,22,50,679, death toll to 4,32,079, as per the data updated at 8 am on Tuesday by the Union health ministry. India's active cases decline to 3,69,846, lowest in 146 days and recovery rate stands at 97.51%, as per the Ministry.

The health ministry said 49,66,29,524 samples have been tested so far of which 15,63,985 were tested on Monday. It informed that over 2.25 crore balance and unutilised COVID-19 vaccine doses are available with the States, Union Territories and private hospitals. The number of people who have recuperated from the disease surged to 3,14,48,754.
