Hyderabad: India reported 39,097 fresh COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, as per the data updated by the Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry at 8 am on Saturday. The COVID-19 death toll has climbed to 4,20,016 with 546 fresh fatalities. According to the Health ministry, the overall tally of COVID-19 cases in the country now stands at 3,13,32,159. There are 4,08,977 active cases at present.
According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), 45,45,70,811 samples have been tested up to July 23 for Covid-19. Of these 16,31,266 samples were tested on Friday. The total vaccine doses administered has reached 42,78,82,261 under the nationwide vaccination drive.
