Hyderabad: India reported 44,643 new COVID-19 cases, 41,096 recoveries and 464 deaths in the last 24 hours, as per the data updated by the Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry at 8 am on Friday. India's active cases stand at 4,14,159. The number of people who have recuperated from the disease surged to 3,10,15,844.
Till now, India has administered 49,53,27,595 vaccine doses, the Ministry said. According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), a total of 47,65,33,650 samples have been tested up to August 5. Of this, 16,40,287 samples were tested on Thursday.
