Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the 125th Anniversary celebrations of ‘Prabuddha Bharata’ at 3.15 PM on Sunday. The event is being organized by Advaita Ashrama situated at Mayavati Ashram in Uttarakhand. Prabuddha Bharata, a monthly journal of the Ramakrishna Order started by Swami Vivekananda in 1896. The journal ‘Prabuddha Bharata’ has been an important medium for spreading the message of India’s ancient spiritual wisdom.

3. Sasikala will be discharged today
Expelled AIADMK leader V K Sasikala will be discharged on Sunday from a hospital here, where she was undergoing treatment for Covid. Sasikala was set free on Wednesday by authorities after she completed four years imprisonment in a jail here in a case of disproportionate assets.

5. Bank unions call two-day strike from today
The United Forum of Bank Unions (UFBU), which represents nine trade unions, has given a call for a two-day strike beginning January 31. The forum has also given a call for a three-day strike from March while threatening to go on indefinite strike from April 1 if their demands are not met. So, the bank unions are planning basically to observe strike in three phases.
