1. Farmers to observe 'Sadbhavana Diwas', undertake fast today

The Samyukta Kisan Morcha on Friday announced that farmers agitating against the Centre's new agricultural laws will observe "Sadbhavana Diwas" on Mahatma Gandhi's death anniversary on January 30 and hold a day-long fast. SKM said the BJP-led central government is giving communal colour to the ongoing peaceful farmers' movement for legal guarantee of MSP and against three anti-farmer laws.

2. NDA to hold meeting today ahead of budget session

A meeting of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) will be held on January 30, ahead of the budget session of the Parliament. NDA comprises of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), AIADMK, and Janata Dal (United) among others. The union budget will be presented on February 1.

3. J.P. Nadda to visit T.N., Puducherry today

BJP president J.P. Nadda will visit Tamil Nadu and Puducherry today for three days and will hold meetings with the party leaders and address public meetings in Madurai and Puducherry.

4. Modi to chair all-party meeting today

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will chair an all-party meeting on Saturday to put forth the government's legislative agenda for the Budget Session of Parliament. This time the customary all-party meeting is being held after the beginning of the session.
