Mangalore(Karnataka): "I feel very happy with the CBI police for detaining former minister Vinay Kulkarni in connection with Yogeeshgouda murder case. I welcome the fact that CBI is interrogating him in this case", KS. Eshwarappa, Minister of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj told media persons on Thursday.
Former Minister and Congress leader Vinay Kulkarni has reportedly been taken into custody by the sleuths of the CBI in Dharwad on Thursday morning in connection with the murder of former Zilla Panchayat member Yogeeshgouda Goudar in 2016.
"Presently he is being interrogated by the CBI. CBI need to conduct an inquiry without any impartiality. If Kulkarni comes out blameless, I will be happy. But CBI need to do a proper investigation. Even if he is not found to be involved in the murder case, we will not allow Kulkarni to join our party," added Eshwarappa.
