Surat: A 17-yr-old boy killed his father in a fit of rage as the latter reprimanded him for playing games on his mobile. The shocking incident took place at Hazira in Surat on Thursday. Initially, the accused misled the family by saying that his father died in an accident. However, during interrogation, the boy spilled the beans saying that he had strangulated his father to death.
Police said they felt something fishy as the forensic postmortem revealed that the case was a murder, instead of an accident as claimed by the accused.
It was in the course of the investigation that the truth was revealed. The boy further said that when his father scolded him for playing games on mobile, a heated argument ensued which led to the murder of the 40-yr-old.
