Nalanda: A youth was electrocuted and charred to death while another one was injured after the two came in contact with a high tension wire while taking a selfie on a derailed goods train in Bihar's Nalanda. The incident took place at Ekangarsarai railway station in Nalanda where a large number of youths were inside the overturned goods train and were taking selfies on top of it, Akash Kumar, a local said.
Suraj Kumar, the 16-year-old son of Rajendra Halwai, resident of Koshiyawan Bazar died on the spot while Chhotu, son of Manoj alias Neelu, resident of Gadariya Bigha who too has been badly burnt, has been hospitalized. After the incident, there was chaos at the railway station for a long time even as hundreds of people from nearby villages thronged the spot.
The video of the incident is also going viral on social media. In the viral video, it can be clearly seen how dozens of youths are competing to take selfies by climbing on the damaged goods train box. Eight bogies of goods train going from Jharkhand to Patna were derailed on Wednesday and overturned near Ekangarsarai railway station of Fatuha railway section of Nalanda.
