First phase of Ram temple construction in Ayodhya completed

The first phase of the construction work of Shri Ram temple in Ayodhya has been completed. General secretary of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust Champat Rai and other members inspected the progress of the temple construction work Thursday.

Ayodhya: The first phase of the grand Ram temple construction work in the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi complex here has been successfully completed and the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has expressed happiness over this.

The Trust's general secretary Champat Rai and other members inspected the progress of the temple construction work Thursday. However, due to torrential rains for more than 12 hours, the event was affected and only a few people could reach the complex.

With an umbrella in his hands, Champat Rai inspected the foundation laid at the place where the temple is to be constructed. He said that the work of the first phase has been completed. However, the 48th layer could not be cast due to rain.

On the place where the sanctum sanctorum will be built, a rock 14 metres thick and in the rest of the area, a rock 12 metres thick have been cast. It is completely completely solid and water-proof and has a density of 98 percent. Champat Rai said that this rock will form the base of the temple and its foundation.

“We will complete the next phase in two months,” he said. “After this, it may take three to four months to complete the third phase.”

Where the Garbha planet is to be formed under the ground, a rock of 14 meters and in the rest of the area 12 meters thick has been cast in the ground. It is completely solid and is water proof. There is absolutely no chance of water going under it. This rock has a density of 98%. Champat Rai told that this rock will form the base of the temple and this is the foundation. We will complete the next phase in 2 months. After this, it may take 3 to 4 months to complete the third phase, he said.

According to the final plan prepared by the Ram Mandir Construction Committee in Ayodhya, temples of six deities will also be constructed in the Ram Janmabhoomi temple complex. According to Ram Mandir Trust member Anil Mishra, the foundation of the temple is expected to be completed by the end of October or the first week of November.
