Drunken foreign women attack police on Brigade Road

Women, who were heavily drunk did not leave the place even after the scheduled time had passed and got into a fight with the pub staff. Meanwhile, the Hoysala police noticed the brawl during rounds and warned foreigners to go home.

Bengaluru: African women created a ruckus and attacked the police personnel on Bengaluru's Brigade Road under Cubbon Park Police Station on Sunday night. Three women including Peace Parnash and Julia Wanjiro of Nigerian origin, living in Kammanahalli in the city went to a pub and restaurant on the weekend.

Women, who were heavily drunk did not leave the place even after the scheduled time had passed and got into a fight with the pub staff. Meanwhile, the Hoysala police noticed the brawl during rounds and enquired about it. Foreigners were questioned and warned to go home.

Enraged by this, the women had a verbal altercation and also laid hands on the police. A female PSI was immediately called to the spot and they were taken into custody and sent for medical examination. Central Division DCP Srinivas Gowda has said that the police have started interrogating them.
