Bengaluru: In a bid to break the COVID-19 chain, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) has declared holidays to employees working at its various facilities.
For employees at its Bengaluru office, the state-owned aerospace and defence company has announced holidays from April 23 - 27.
HAL has already halted several of its operations in Lucknow/Kanpur for two days from April 21 - 23 and in Nashik for three days, up to April 24.
Essential services such as medical provisions, water and electricity among others will remain undisrupted, HAL Bengaluru officials said. Employees are advised to stick to COVID-appropriate behaviour.
"HAL follows the government guidelines and protocol on COVID-related issues," HAL sources told ETV Bharat.
Sources in HAL said these holidays will not affect the employees' salaries.
