New Delhi: Indian Youth Congress on Saturday (IYC) took out 'Ahinsa March' on 73rd death anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and called upon the citizens of India to follow the Gandhian ideology. The leaders urged people to bring peace and harmony in the country amid the ongoing agitation of farmers against three farm laws.
Hundreds of IYC members led the March from Akbar Road to Gandhi Smriti at Tees January Marg in Delhi. Many of these were dressed up as Mahatama Gandhi to pay tributes to the Father of the Nation.
While speaking to Media, IYC President Srinivas BV said, "People who believe in the ideology of Godse are in power today, from which the country needs to be careful. Peace and harmony are necessary to stop the politics of hate and polarization in-country which is only possible by following the path laid by Mahatma Gandhi."

"It is the duty of every citizen to save this Gandhi's country from the conspiracy policies of BJP-RSS. Godse's ideology will not work here. The anti-farmer attitude of the Government is against Gandhian ideology," he added.
Congress MP Rahul Gandhi also paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi. Earlier today, he shared a tweet, saying, "Truth stands, even if there be no public support. It is self-sustained- Mahatama Gandhi. A humble tribute to Bapu on his death anniversary."
