New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday kick-started his massive counter-offensive campaign on the new farm bills by addressing its first press conference. BJP national spokesperson Sambit Patra started the campaign and launched an attack on the opposition parties, accusing them of misleading the farmers.
Patra said, "No matter how hard the opposition tries to hijack the farmers' protest but BJP is registering victory in all the elections. This itself proves BJP's popularity among the farmers.
BJP is set to organise a series of measures like press conferences, 'chaupals' and 'Jan Sampark' in the coming days in which senior, block and district level leaders will participate. As many as 700 press conferences, hundreds of chaupals and Jan Sampark will be organised by the party.
BJP will start the programmes to educate and inform farmers about the benefit of the laws. Party sources said that the saffron party has expressed concern over the on-going farmers' protest, especially after the annadattas claimed that they will gherao the party officers of the leaders.
The Central government has repatriated that they are open for dialogues with the farmers. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh today again said that the government is open for dialogues to allay the apprehensions of the agricultural sector.

Meanwhile, All India Kisan Coordination Committee (AIKCC), has extended their support to the government and backed the three agrarian laws. The representatives of ten states also said that the protests by the Punjab farmers are politically motivated.
AAP supremo and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal held a one-day fast today in solidarity with the farmers in the national capital. AAP has extended support to the farmers and also slammed the Central govt for calling farmers 'anti-nationals' and 'Khalistanis' and calling the protest a sponsored agenda of China and Pakistan.
The ruling party is leaving no stone unturned to garner support of the masses and it has claimed that 'Leftists' and 'Tukde Tukde Gang' are trying to create ruckus amid the on-going farmers' protest.
BJP National spokesperson Sudesh Verma said, "The agri-sector laws have been brought for the benefit for the farmers. The laws will enable farmers to sell their agricultural produce outside APMC. Farmers will get MSP. But the opposition is misleading the farmers and I am sure that the government will convince the farmers that laws are brought for their benefit."
