Nalanda: Villagers of Giriyak Chowk staged a protest against the police administration alleging lawlessness in Bihar on Sunday. The incident was reported from Nalanda police station limits.

According to sources, the goons had misbehaved with women on the streets and police force deployed on duty fled from the spot. The miscreants had also damaged vehicles.

Villagers today protested against the police shouting anti-police slogans and raised questions as to how 'miscreants had kept weapons with them'. The protestors who are out on the streets asked people to shut down their shops.

It is to be mentioned that few miscreants attacked villagers yesterday while they were out for walks and buying groceries. The incident triggered panic in the area and people have alleged that people did not take appropriate action and left the spot.
