New Delhi: Delhi Pradesh Youth Congress (DPYC) holds a protest, on Wednesday, against the Central Government over the repeated and 'unjust' fuel price hike on the 18th consecutive day. Innovatively, DPYC took out an "Armano ki Arthi" (bier of desires), targeting the ruling BJP over their promises made to the public of having "good days" under Modi government.
The protest was led by Delhi in-charge and Indian Youth Congress general secretary, Harish Pawar, demanding the Central government to roll back the 'thoughtless' price hike with immediate effect and pass on the benefit of low crude oil prices directly to the citizens of the country.

"We took out a symbolic bier of the promises made by the Modi government to the citizens of our country. Center has raised the excise duty over fuel when the crude oil prices are extremely low and when the nation is feeling under the unprecedented and severe health and economic crisis," said Harish Pawar.
Congress party is repeatedly alleging the Central Government for raising the excise duty on petrol and diesel prices, putting an extra burden on the citizens when they are already struggling with the COVID crisis leading to unemployment, deep income shortfalls, and significant salary cuts.
Congress is also going to hold a nationwide demonstration against the Central government demanding to roll back this move and passing on the benefit of low crude oil prices to the people.
