Young woman falls from moving train into Tunga river

The 24-year-old, Sahana was standing at the door, talking over phone when she fell from the train in Tunga river railway bridge in Shimoga town.

Shimoga: A young woman accidentally fell into a Tunga River from moving train on Thursday

The incident happened when Sahana (24) was coming from Bangalore to Shimoga through inter-city train.

Sahana was talking over phone standing at the door, when she fell from the train in Tunga river. The train was crossing the railway bridge in Shimoga town when the incident took place.

Incidentally, the mishap occurred just one kilometre away from her destination.

The young woman's father had arrived at the railway station to fetch his wife and daughter.

Police are searching for her with the help of firefighters based on the statement of the young woman's mother.
