Patna: A woman in Patna's Paliganj has approached police after her husband married his ex-girlfriend while she got stuck at her parent's place due to the lockdown.
Gudiya Devi had gone to her maternal home due to some work before the lockdown was announced. She was unable to return to her in-laws' house in Bharatpura because of the ongoing lockdown.
Her husband Dheeraj Kumar had been asking her to get back somehow. However, the woman couldn't return. He was furious about it and married his ex-girlfriend from Raghunathpur.
When the woman came to about it, she along with her relatives reached Dheeraj's house and this led to a ruckus between both families.
The couple also has a 10-year-old son.
The woman has filed a complaint with the Dulhan Bazar police of Paliganj in Patna district. She has accused Dheeraj and father-in-law of dowry harassment and hatching conspiracy for second marriage.
The investigation into the case has begun, police said.
