New Delhi: Amid the political tussle in Rajasthan Congress on Sunday clarified that it had tried "many times" to convince its young leader Sachin Pilot to get back to share his issues and now it's up to him to decide his future course of action.
When asked about party's views on Pilot and whether efforts are still being made to get him back, Congress chief spokesperson Randeep Singh Surjewala said, "I have stated this many times that issues of a family can only be resolved within the family. The party leadership had contacted Pilot for more than 6 times while trying to convince him to get back and share his issues with them."
"Two of the senior members of the Congress Working Committee asked him to return. Even, Congress General Secretary Incharge, KC Venugopal talked to him for 2-3 times to convince him. Now it is up to him whether he wants to get trapped in BJP's conspiracy or he wants to resolve his ideological differences with his own party," Surjewala added.

Congress had earlier demanded from Sachin Pilot to stop accepting BJP's "hospitality" if he does not wish to join that party and "return home" to Jaipur to discuss his grievances.
"The way in which the BJP-led Haryana government is engaged in the hospitality of our MLAs while providing police protection to them, it is indeed shocking in itself. Those lawyers who are associated with BJP are eager to favour Congress MLAs in court, it itself points to something," Surjewala mentioned.

He also assured that the party is still in majority in Rajasthan with a support of 109 MLAs and claimed that even BJP's unit in Rajasthan has changed their demand to conduct a floor test in the state.
"What has changed in the last 48 hours that BJP's state President Satish Poonia and their leader in the assembly Rathore and entire Central and state leadership is so scared that they are not ready for the floor test. We have given a number of 109 and we stand at that," said the Congress spokesperson.
