New Delhi: Aimed at advancing India's outreach in South American region, Vice President Venkaiah Naidu will visit Paraguay and Costa Rica between March 5 and 9.
He will be accompanied by a high-level delegation including Minister of State for Tourism Shri K.J. Alphons and other senior officials.
Naidu will meet President of ParaguayMario Abdo Benítez, Vice President Hugo Velázquez and President of National Congress (Senate) Silvio Ovelar.
Apart from this, he will also address the India-Paraguay Business Forum and interact with the Indian diaspora in the country.
Bilateral trade betweenIndia and Paraguay has increased almost ten fold in the past 10-years. It has reached $334 million in 2017-18 from $40 million in 2008-09.
In Costa Rica, Naidu's engagements include meetings with Costa Rica President Carlos Alvarado Quesada and other senior officials.
He will also deliver a keynote address at the India-Costa Rica Business Forum and meet the Indian community in the country.
