New Delhi: Vice President Venkaiah Naidu launched India's first social media super-app 'Elyments' in the presence of Art of Living founder Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. More than 1000 IT professionals have come together to create the homegrown Elyments app after getting inspired by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar.

The app has been launched on all App Stores and Google Play Store across the world. However, the app has been crowd-tested extensively by more than 1000 people for several months.
Around 200,000 people have already downloaded and are using the app.
The nation’s top privacy professionals were guiding the design of the product and the app is a combination of the features of popular social media apps.
The single unified app has also brought together terms which have become second nature to social media users - contacts, friends, followers.
Key features of the first social media super-app:
- Elyments will allow users to stay in touch through a vibrant feed, seamless free audio or video calls and private or group chats.
- The app promises to be an unbiased platform that embraces open conversations among people of different schools of thoughts.
- The app will also be available in more than 8 Indian languages.
- Elyments is a unique app in terms of size and vision.
Meanwhile, the app will be a relief to netizens who have been put off by continuous censorship on other popular sites.
Elyments also plans to launch some other features in the coming weeks:
- Audio/ Video conference calls
- Secure payments via Elyments Pay
- Public profiles who users can Follow/Subscribe
- Curated commerce platform to promote Indian brands
- Regional voice commands
The app has been built with the primary concern of user’s privacy in mind as most of these platforms are owned by companies incorporated outside India, which has spun a debate about privacy of data and data ownership.
