New Delhi: A global protest was held on Friday across countries to raise voices over the constant changing of the earth's temperature.
Addressing a gathering organised by the Capital foundation society, former chairperson of National Green Tribunal, Justice Swatanter Singh said that 'climate change' should be a concern for one and all. It is a 'subject' that concerns people of great acumen, as well the average individual.
Justice Singh, in his speech, spoke about the need to preserve the environment, especially with the growing demands.
Speaking about the Constitution, Justice Singh emphasized the expansion of Article 21 that now has the Right to decent and clean environment attached to it.
Justice Singh along with chairperson of environment pollution (Prevention and Control) authority Dr. Bhure Lal and other eminent environmentalists spoke on the need to save the environment and take action against the alarming rate at which climate change is occurring.
"Our ancestors and forefathers used to worship nature for protection, while today humans have resorted to worshipping nature for opposite reasons," added Justice Singh.
