1. COVID-19 LIVE: 4 Indo-Tibetan Border Police personnel test positive in 24 hours

Four more personnel of Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) have tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, officials said on Sunday.There are a total of 33 active cases and 195 have recovered till date, according to an ITBP bulletin.

2. Mumbai local trains to resume service for essential service workers today

Shut since March due to coronavirus-induced lockdown, Mumbai local trains will resume operations from Monday. The services will, however, be operated only for essential workers to ferry them to their workplace and back. At least 1.25 lakh essential staff are expected to travel by these trains.

3. AIIMS sets up 24x7 COVID-19 helpline number following Shah's directions

The All India Institute of Medical Sciences has set up a 24X7 COVID-19 helpline number following the directions from the Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Through this number, callers can take OPD appointments and also talk to volunteers while doctors can talk to consultants.

4. Delhi govt withdraws order to convert nursing homes into COVID centres

The Delhi government has withdrawn its order to convert all nursing homes in the capital with 10 to 49 beds into COVID nursing homes within a day of its release. Earlier this decision was taken to prevent intermingling of COVID-19 patients with non-COVID-19 patients and to increase the bed capacity.

5. 23 journalists test positive for COVID-19 in Telangana

As many as twenty-three journalists tested positive for COVID-19 in Telangana on Sunday. According to the Health Minister's office, among 140 journalists whose samples were collected, 23 journalists were tested positive for coronavirus. Meanwhile, 237 more COVID-19 positive cases and three fatalities were reported in the state.

6. Family of Indian detained by Nepal security forces says he was taken from Indian side to Sangrampur

The family of Indian citizen Lagan Kishore, who was detained in Nepal, said that Nepalese personnel hit him with a rifle butt and took him from the Indian side to Nepal's Sangrampur. Lagan Kishore was detained on June 12 morning by Nepal's Armed Police Force when he along with his family was at the border to meet his daughter-in-law.

7. Jamaat-e-Islami Hind builds 25 houses, allied amenities in Wayanad for Kerala floods victims

Jamaat-e-Islami Hind has built as many as 25 houses and allied amenities in Wayanad for families whose houses were destroyed in Kerala floods. The initiative is part of the People's Foundation's 2018 Flood Rehabilitation Plan to build 305 houses across the state for people whose houses were destroyed in the 2018 Kerala flood.

8. COVID-19 peak in India likely in November: ICMR study

Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) after a study said that India may witness the peak of COVID-19 pandemic in mid-November. This findings of the study could put health ministry predictions aside that COVID-19 peak in India is unlikely. The study further said that peak in India has earlier been delayed by the two-month-long lockdown.

9. Facing surge in cases in 5 districts, Telangana to undertake 50k COVID-19 tests

Chairing a high-level review meeting on COVID-19, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao instructed officials to conduct the tests in Hyderabad, Rangareddy, Vikarabad, Medchal and Sangareddy districts over the next ten days.

10. NIA gets custody of suspected woman LeT terrorist from Kolkata

National Investigation Agency has got the custody of alleged Lashkar-e-Taiba handler Tania Parveen from Kolkata. She is allegedly linked to Pakistan based terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba and also involved in using WhatsApp number of Pakistan and is a part of several WhatsApp groups of Pakistan.
