Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir Police on Wednesday busted a terror funding module from North Kashmir's Bandipore district, with the arrest of three persons, officials said.
Police said based on a tip-off, a terror funding module of proscribed terror outfit LeT was busted and three persons were arrested.
They have been identified as Irshad Ahmad Sheikh, a resident of Chittibandy Aragam, Mohammad Junaid Wani, a resident of Nageen Bagh Sopore, and Raj Mohammad Khan, a resident of Lolab Kupwara.
The police said incriminating materials including cash worth Rs 4 lakh have been recovered from their possession.
"As per investigations, the trio was in touch with their handlers in PoK and had received Rs 14 lakh out of which Rs 90 lakh have been distributed by them for financing terror activities in district Bandipora and Kupwara," the police said.

"The said terror module was activated for carrying out terrorist activities in district Bandipora and Kupwara."
The police have filed an FIR and started probing the matter.
Inspector-General of Police Kashmir Vijay Kumar on Thursday said they are investigating all the details related to the killing of three persons by the Army in south Kashmir's Shopian district.
"A missing report was filed by Rajouri families a few days back and since then we are trying to examine all the details of the case through technical mode," Kumar said while responding to a question regarding the alleged Shopian fake encounter.
He further said, "DNA samples of all three persons killed during the Shopian gunfight will be sent to Central Laboratory to ascertain the facts. Meanwhile, a team led by a DSP rank officer from Shopian has been sent to Rajouri for completing legal formalities."

Giving details about the terror funding module, Kumar said, "Basically, we are probing two important angles. One is matching DNA samples and another is whether these three persons (from Rajouri) were in contact with militants are not."
On Sunday, the families of missing labourers had filed an FIR at Peeri Police Post, in Rajouri district. This comes 21 days after the trio went missing.
"The last time we spoke to them was on July 17, after that we were not able to establish any contact with them," the families have mentioned in their complaint to the police.
According to the FIR, "Imtiaz Ahmed son of Sabir Hussain, Ibrar Ahmed, son of Bagha Khan and Abrar Ahmed son of Mohammad Yousuf, left their homes on July 15 to find work in Kashmir. But since July 17 the families have had no contact with the trio. All of them are residents of Rajouri’s Peeri Tehsil."
