Patna: Stating that the youth have the will to change Bihar, RJD leader and leader of the opposition in Bihar legislative assembly Tejashwi Yadav said if the RJD forms government it would provide jobs to 10 lakh youth. Given the opportunity, the youth of Bihar can achieve anything.
Tejashwi Yadav said the youth of Bihar are being grossly neglected as chief minister Nitish Kumar has done nothing for them. He cornered the Nitish government on the issue of unemployment and announced that if voted to power his cabinet will pass a resolution in its very first meeting to provide jobs to ten lakh youth in vacant positions.
Tejashwi Yadav said that the first task of his government will be to provide employment to the jobless. We will work on how to stop the migration of people from Bihar. He said that Rashtriya Janata Dal had created the unemployment portal on which 9 lakh 47 thousand 334 unemployed youth have registered themselves with their bio-data. Besides, 13 lakh 11 thousand 626 unemployed youth have registered on the employment portal by giving a Miss Call. In all, 22 lakh 58 thousand youths have registered on the portal.
Ashok Chaudhary gets command of Bihar Pradesh JDU
JDU has appointed Ashok Chaudhary, the construction minister in the Bihar government, as the acting president of the state JDU. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar announced this at the JDU office. JDU state president Vashistha Narayan Singh has been receiving medical treatment in Delhi for a long time. In his absence, Ashok Chaudhary has been looking after party work. Ashok Chaudhary is among Nitish's most trusted people right now.

Before the Assembly elections, these steps are considered to be important for strengthening the state organization of JDU. The relationship between CM Nitish and Minister Ashok Chaudhary has been very cordial. During Nitish's separation from the Grand Alliance, Ashok had openly supported CM Nitish while remaining on the post of Congress state president. He had to bear the brunt of this and he was removed from the post by the Congress Party. However, he also benefited from Nitish's support and Nitish Kumar gave him a place in the government as also in the party. Nitish Kumar has targeted a particular section of vote bank by making Ashok Chaudhary the state president.
Gupteshwar Pandey joins JDU
Former Bihar DGP Gupteshwar Pandey is in news these days. Even after he had five months to retire, he had resigned from his post giving rise to the speculation that he would join politics. Although after taking VRS, Gupteshwar Pandey had denied that he had resigned from his post only to contest elections, but on 27 September he took JDU membership. He joined the party in the presence of CM Nitish Kumar, MP Lalan Singh and Minister Ashok Chaudhary. After Gupteshwar Pandey took VRS from the Police Service, speculations were being made that he would contest the Assembly elections from Buxar.
Former DGP Gupteshwar Pandey had also taken VRS earlier too to contest Lok Sabha elections in 2009. However, he changed his mind and returned to the police service. The former DGP was to retire by February 2021. He was a 1987 batch IPS officer.
Deadlock over seat sharing
The dates for Bihar assembly elections have been announced. However, in the NDA and the Grand Alliance, there is a deadlock over seat sharing. In the Grand Alliance, many allies seem angry with the RJD. Avinash Pandey, chairman of the screening committee of the Congress, who visited Bihar, said that if the party did not get honourable number of seats in the grand alliance, then the Congress will contest alone on all the seats. He said that if there is any kind of compromise in the grand alliance, then Congress workers are ready to contest elections on all seats.

On the one hand, while the national president of Hum Party Jitan Ram Manjhi broke away from the grand alliance and joined the NDA, Upendra Kushwaha is also thinking of getting out. Now the Congress too has started showing red eyes to the RJD.
Ticket aspirants throng party offices
With the announcement of Bihar assembly election dates, aspirants for tickets have started thronging offices of all political parties. The Patna office of BJP turned into a virtual battlefield on Sunday. Hundreds of BJP workers from Lakhisarai hijacked the state party office because of which deputy chief minister Sushil Modi had to wait outside the party office for almost half an hour. There was also a scuffle between security staff and BJP workers.
Hundreds of ticket aspirants also reached the state Congress office at Sadakat Ashram in Patna. Screening committee chairman Avinash Pandey and state party president Madan Mohan Jha met all the aspiring candidates.
