Nagapattinam (Tamil Nadu): A man was arrested on Monday from Velankanni town of Tamil Nadu’s Nagapattinam district for producing illicit country-made liquor and uploading a video of the act on TikTok - a popular video-sharing social networking service - amid a nationwide coronavirus-induced lockdown.
Poonchoolai, also known as Tamilselvan, a resident of Therku Poigainallur, had made the entire set up to prepare the liquor in the backyard of his residence.
His act wasn’t noticed by the police until he decided to share a video of him making the illicit liquor on TikTok.
Acting upon the video, the local police arrested him.
