Hyderabad: Congress President Sonia Gandhi reconstituted the Congress Working Committee (CWC) and the Central Election Authority of the party on Friday.
According to the notification released by the grand old party, Madhusudan Mistry, Rajesh Mishra, Krishna Byre Gowda, S Jothimani and Avinder Singh Lovely were appointed members of the Central Election Authority whereas Gulam Nabi Azad, Ambika Soni, Moti Lal Vohra, Luzenio Falerio and Mallikarjun Kharge were dropped from the list of general secretaries.
In another major development, the party has appointed Priyanka Gandhi Vadra as a general secretary of Uttar Pradesh. She was appointed as AICC general secretary of Uttar Pradesh East months before the Lok Sabha elections in 2019.
