New Delhi: In a veiled attack on Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for questioning Congress on its stand on Gupkar Alliance, the grand old party took a jibe at him saying that he "needs to speak to Amit Shah" on BJP's alliance with National Conference in Kargil before giving any such statement.
"Another statement of Yogi Adityanath ji, full of nationalistic claims. But I think, he has no idea that BJP has joined hands with Dr Farooq Abdullah just for the sake of power in Kargil. Farooq Abdullah who is an 'anti-nationalist' in Jammu and Kashmir, suddenly becomes a nationalist by getting into alliance with BJP in Ladakh," said Congress leader Rashid Alvi.
"This is the real face of BJP. The hunger of power is upto a level that they are joining hands with those on whom they are putting allegations of being 'traitors' and 'anti-nationalists'. Yogi Adityanath ji, first speak to Amit Shah ji then question Congress party," he added.
The attack came after CM Yogi Adityanath said that Congress leadership should clear its stand on the Gupkar alliance as its "double standards" will not only harm national security but will also "put the entire party in the dock".

Responding over the matter, Congress spokesperson Supriya Shrinate said, "On the latest comments which are coming from Yogi Adityanath, I just want to say that please see the law and order which has completely collapsed and crumbled in the state of Uttar Pradesh, instead of making divisionary comments with the intention you do, all across the country."
While Congress has already clarified that it is not a part of Gupkar alliance and would never compromise on national security, BJP leaders are repeatedly questioning the opposition party over its stand on restoration of Article 370.
"There really has to be a limit to BJP's hypocrisy and double speak. First, you call everybody anti-national who wants to participate in a democratic process. When you had a government with PDP, it was absolutely fine. You called National Conference (NC) anti-national, but you are in alliance with them for a few seats in Kargil. Stop misleading this country, stop dividing people the way you do," Shrinate said.
"For BJP, I want to say that people have seen through your divisionary tactics. Stop stooping so low and stop telling lies. Start working for development and creating jobs," she added.
