Dhubri (Assam): Hardhan Chandra Roy, who hailed from Phutukibari-Medhipara under Sapatgram police station in lower Assam’s Dhubri district, was among the four Army jawans killed in Pakistan firing on Friday. He was killed in action during unprovoked ceasefire violation by Pakistani Army in LoC on Friday. Army Sources confirmed the news here.
During ceasefire violation by Pakistan at Uri Sector in the LoC, a soldier attached to 59 Field Arty was killed on Friday. Roy, the only son of his family, had joined the Army in 2001.
Roy 48, was attached to Army's Field Arty's 59 BN and was posted in LoC in Uri Sector. He left is mother, wife, three sisters and one 2-years-old son.
The mortal remains will arrive in Guwahati by Saturday.
